De­ter­mi­na­tion of Re­al­tion­ships Be­tween Ma­chine Pa­ram­e­ters on the one Hand and Clean­ing Qual­i­ty and Per­for­mance per Time Unit on the other Hand for Elas­tic Floors – Basis for an Ap­pro­pri­ate De­ter­mi­na­tion of the Clean­ing Tech­nique for a Given Clean­ing Task

For clean­ing large, ho­mo­ge­neous floor cov­er­ings, due to prof­itabil­i­ty rea­sons only me­chan­i­cal clean­ing pro­ce­dures are used. With such pro­ce­dures cur­rent­ly an an­nu­al turnover of ap­prox­i­mate­ly 2,7 bil­lion € is achieved.

Due to in­creas­ing costs, de­creas­ing price lev­els as well as ris­ing pres­sure of com­pe­ti­tion from the Eu­ro­pean neigh­bour­ing coun­tries, fur­ther im­prove­ments of ef­fi­cien­cy are nec­es­sary in the field of the me­chan­i­cal clean­ing in fu­ture.

A pre­con­di­tion is, that clean­ing pro­ce­dures are car­ried out with a max­i­mum per­for­mance per time unit and a clean­ing qual­i­ty that is ac­cept­ed by the cus­tomer.

As the clean­ing qual­i­ty de­creas­es with an in­creas­ing per­for­mance per time unit, cur­rent­ly the build­ing clean­ing ser­vices work often with low per­for­mance per time unit in order to meet the cus­tomer re­quire­ments. These ad­di­tion­al costs can’t be passed on to the cus­tomer.

In this pro­ject the re­al­tion­ships be­tween dif­fer­ent ma­chine pa­ram­e­ters on the one hand and per­for­mance per time unit and clean­ing qual­i­ty on the other were record­ed and sum­ma­rized in an func­tion­al ma­trix.
