Modification and transfer of the results of the Leonardo da Vinci-Project D/03/B/F/PP-146 082 on the education and training of cleaning service providers in the field of the appropriate application of the European Directive No. 852/2004 on food hygiene

Leonardo da Vinci project DE/07/LLP-LdV/TOI/147065

Within this project, we have developed vocational education and training (VET) modules on the requirements of the European Regulation (EC) 852/2004, Council Directive 93/43/EC, Commission Decision 2001/471/EC, and the implications of HACCP based risk analysis. These modules have been derived from a former project (Leonardo da Vinci Project Nr. D/03/B/F/PP-146 082 on introduction of RABC Systems in laundries; RABC abbreviates Risk Analysis and Biocontamination Control), i.e. they represent the results of a Leonardo da Vinci Transfer Of Innovation project. Transfer of innovation and knowledge was achieved by revision of RABC modules, and by writing completely new modules. The learning objectives formulated within this project were summarized in a brand new HACCP curriculum, which already received great interest from professional associations all over Europe. The Slovenian and Czech chambers of craft, for instance want to present the curriculum for their national boards for modernisation of VET education of cleaners. In addition, the curriculum is under revision at the European Association of Cleaning Industries (EFCI) and the German association of cleaning businesses (BIV).

The developed training modules are available by the interactive web-site www.hygiene-for-cleaners.eu.
